Infrastructure Manager
About the Job
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all systems in the production data centers and the back office corporate data center. Responsible for all system operations, performance monitoring, trending and capacity management across multiple data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- 70% management, 30% hands on technical work.
- Day to day supervision of Infrastructure/Operations staff.
- Provide overall technical, administrative and managerial leadership to the team.
- Investigate solutions, establish timeframes, and delegate responsibilities to maximize results.
- Collaborate with business users and other teams to design, develop and deploy the best solutions to ensure high level of customer service.
- Assume ownership and complete work with minimal supervision.
- Manage Windows 2003 servers including servers with Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, ASP.NET, COM+, Java, SOAP, XML, and Microsoft SQL.
- Maintain system uptime, availability and reliability to meet SLA requirements with partners.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Job Qualifications
- Demostrated experience designing and maintaining Windows 2003/2008 servers in a large datacenter environment.
- Experience deploying and maintaining custom software in a Java environment.
- Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory domains, group policy, and security.
- BS in Information Technology or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience, at least 2 of which are as a manager.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop staff to accomplish established goals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
