Project Manager/Analyst

About the Job

The Project Manager/Analyst will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and driving aspects of software development projects including Requirements Specifications, Architecture, Design, and Implementation, Quality Assurance and Deployment. To accomplish this, the Project Manager/Analyst must be able to coordinate projects across different functional organizations within the company. Assignments are of a dynamic nature with projects and tasks that require considerable industry and general technical knowledge as well as exceptional organizational, communication, prioritization, problem-solving and leadership skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the business to define priorities, design alternatives and requirements.
Work with IT teams to define architecture and design details.
Optimize the efficiency of the team in general, provide capacity forecasting, etc.
Manage the project work and the overall execution of the projects.
Assess the performance of the project team, and escalate issues.
Define and run program execution meetings to track progress on project milestones, to track and resolve issues, and to make priority calls.
Create documentation as appropriate.
Ensures that projects and development efforts are documented and that source code changes are managed.
Encourages proper implementation of IT processes and methodologies.
Provides appropriate feedback to management on process improvement suggestions.
Project Management of a diverse group of technical staff with varying degree of technical ability.
Promotes and maintains high standards of customer service.
Assists with contract negotiations with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
Other related job duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Education

7+ years experience in implementing and maintaining information systems. Extensive experience in the roles of project manager; systems and/or business analyst; and developer. Quality Assurance experience also a plus.
Strong technical competence in global enterprise IT technologies and operations.
Thorough understanding of relevant state of the art IT solutions.
Ability to learn and utilize new technologies. Able to administer and debug systems, and to configure and code.
Strong problem solving skills.
Highly motivated and independent, well organized and detail oriented.
High degree of personal integrity and professionalism.
Strong listening, written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
Able to define strategies and solutions amidst ambiguity and competing ideas.
Good interpersonal and conflict management skills; able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Persistent and dependable, especially in meeting deadlines; able to manage multiple competing priorities.
Minimum of BS degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.

The Project Manager/Analyst is a full-time position based in Portland, Oregon. Local candidates only. Relocation is not available for this position. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
