Senior Business Development Manager
About the Job
Vesta is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric team player to help build our business. This Senior Manager will drive the strategy and execution for strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the Business Development team in helping to define and deliver the overall company strategy.
- Identify, contact, negotiate, and contract with distribution partners in the prepaid wireless industry.
- Work with strategic partners to find innovative solutions to jointly developed and offered services.
- Provide strategic analysis, primary and secondary research of new business segments and/or markets.
- Build strategic rational and ROI analysis.
- Create demo and prototype concepts and oversee their development.
- Independently execute plans while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. operations teams, marketing, legal, etc.).
- Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
- Independently manage complex contract negotiations, working with senior executives inside and outside of the company.
- Research and identify new opportunities for Vesta business.
Job Qualifications
- The right person will possess 10+ years of business development and corporate development experience.
- Experience in a software service company.
- Demonstrated experience in channel partnerships, product innovation, and strategic partnership management.
- Experience with prototype development and demos.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.
- Experience working within the consumer payments and/or wireless industry is highly desired.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
- BA/BS required. MBA preferred.
The Senior Business Development Manager is a full-time position based in Portland, Oregon. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Candidates will be required to sign a strict confidentiality agreement and be willing to undergo an extensive background
