About the Job

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains production environment including Microsoft IIS 5 & 6, Apache Tomcat, ASP.NET, COM+, Java, SOAP, XML, and Microsoft SQL all running in a Windows Environment
• Ability to be network aware in a highly complex internal and external network environment
• Monitors system events, logs, and messaging on a daily basis and communicates anomalies to internal departments and external partners
• Enhances security, performance, and monitoring of the systems in the production environment
• Provides 24x7 support for the production servers
• Ability to pick up projects from peer teams and manage them to completion
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Integrity, commitment, accuracy, team minded, selflessness, sense of humor, self starter, desire to constantly improve your skills and the workplace around you, optimistic attitude, ability to think critically through complex problems
• 5+ years experience in a progressively responsible systems engineer capacity i.e. installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and supporting IT systems
• Experience with Windows 2000/2003 servers in a large datacenter environment, infrastructure management, change management, advanced Microsoft Active Directory knowledge with regard domains, group policy, and security
• High school education required, Bachelor’s Degree highly desirable. An equivalent combination of college, industry training, and experience may substitute.
• Ecommerce experience desired, Microsoft certifications desired, Microsoft SQL experience a definite plus.

The Senior Systems Administrator is a full-time position based in Portland, Oregon. Local candidates only. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
