PORTLAND, Ore, June 20, 2008 — Vesta Corporation, a global pioneer and leader in electronic payment solutions, has won a 2008 American Business Award for Best New Product or Service – Telecommunications. Vesta was recognized for its proprietary “OneButton” recharge technology that enables wireless consumers to refill their prepaid accounts anytime, anywhere via their handset.
The OneButton service was awarded a U.S. patent in July 2007. “With the rapidly growing population of prepaid wireless consumers worldwide, it was crucial to develop a type of payment solution that provided real-time account refills, directly through the handset, that works across a variety of handset technologies,” said Vesta’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Doug Fieldhouse.
American Business Awards were awarded in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
