Stored Value Payment Network
Vesta has successfully extended traditional closed-loop stored value products into the retail environment, accelerating cashless payments
beyond credit and debit cards.
Vesta’s Chinese subsidiary, KPay, recently won a concession from the Beijing Transit Authority to extend use of the Beijing transit card
into retail stores. KPay has implemented the new payment system in major convenience stores, supermarket chains and restaurants in
Beijing, including Lian Hua (Quik Mart), Hao Ling Zhu, Jing Ke Long, and Hua Pu. By incorporating IC technology, the new
system is fast, reliable and simple to use, allowing these Beijing merchants to offer a more convenient means of payment to their
customers.
In addition, KPay offers transit cards that can be branded with promotional messages to create advertising opportunities for corporate clients. The KPay network also features value-added capabilities for merchants including loyalty and discount programs.
Retail Top-Up Card Network
Vesta has partnered with a leading MasterCard-issuing bank to offer an innovative top-up solution for prepaid wireless accounts at the
point-of-sale.
Vesta works with wireless operators to create a customized top-up card which can be distributed to their subscribers, and
then associated with their prepaid wireless account. Customers can easily top up their accounts by presenting the card and cash at
any participating retail location that accepts MasterCard. Vesta settles the transaction with the wireless operator and retail partner over the
MasterCard network.
This solution provides the ultimate top-up convenience for wireless consumers, an additional low-cost channel for the wireless
operators, and a supplementary revenue stream for retail locations that don’t offer top up today.
Retail PIN Distribution
Vesta’s Chinese subsidiary, Unimobile, is the largest distributor of China Mobile prepaid PINs in Beijing and provides product to
